Chapter 7: Advanced tips and tricks
This chapter is aimed at those who want to uncover a good set of pgModeler's secrets that lead to good productivity: handling relationship lines and the objects they generate, converting relationships and serial types, stub objects, auto-arranging, attribute pagination, the compact view, stacking, fading and more.
The tips that are part of everyday modeling (navigating the canvas, selecting several objects, zooming and aligning, the quick actions menu, the new object overlay, copying, protecting objects and following dependencies) are in Chapter 2, under Working on the canvas. If you are having your first contact with both PostgreSQL and pgModeler, the recommended action is to start with Getting started and to study the database system documentation, so that pgModeler is less confusing to you.
